Over the last year or two I did get a bit sidetracked away from using technology in the classroom and over the last few months I am rebuilding that interest for technology. I am using the technology in many ways to enhance the classroom, to let the children explore past the classroom door, and to encourage communication and build relationships. I am excited that I am trying many new things and find there are so many ideas out there. I have already did a presentation in powerpoint involving drawings,pictures,recording greetings and songs,and have put it on our school website. I can't believe how easy it is to use Skype and how convenient. I am also excited about just starting a wiki for my class. I think it's something everyone should try. I am excited about the parent's and kids reactions too.My colleague and I are about to tackle a project with voicethreads and we will see where that takes us. If I could continue the year with all these great experiences I would be very satisfied. Happy New Year!
